3rd April: I am now on three meals a day - breakfast, a two course lunch and a two course dinner. Mum feels that the number of breastfeeds should now reduce. I disagree.
10th April: I've noticed that, if I cry when people leave the room, they tend to come back in again and fuss over me. I think I've discovered a basic "parent training" technique....
15th April: I'm really enjoying my food. There have been comments that I'm eating enough for someone twice my size. Well I don't care who the other fat kid is, he's not getting any of my dinner! Mum had the strange idea that the 5am feed could be dropped. I beg to differ.
18th April: I've been continuing with my biting practice at feeding time but I've found that a suitably guilty look followed by a winning smile after the event works wonders. I've now trained Mum to just whimper quietly.
20th April: The pull-up exercises have had great results! I've now developed my muscles to such an extent that, yesterday, I managed to half catapult myself out of the bouncing cradle. I had high hopes of reaching the other side of the room within a few weeks but the parental units have taken to securing me into said cradle as tightly as possible. They have no spirit of adventure.
24th April: The "crying every time someone leaves the room" approach has failed miserably, so I'm going to try shouting instead.
30th April: Not only can I use the bouncing cradle as a exercise pull-up bar, but, if I grab the top bar with my mouth, it makes a great teething ring. Unfortunately this does tend to interfere with eating so I'll probably keep it as a "between meals" exercise. Look, Mum! No hands....!
